Broadacre Primary School became an academy and joined Humber Education Trust in April 2018. The school has expanded rapidly in recent years and in February 2022 moved into a brand-new building. Cambridge Park Academy is a 3-19 special school in Grimsby for pupils with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and complex learning needs. The school has places for 220 students from the North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire area and is Ofsted rated as ‘Good’.

The school places importance on preparing its students both academically and socially for life after school and provides a wide range of opportunities for young people to take part in sporting and cultural activities alongside their academic learning. The school became an academy in March 2013 and joined Humber Education Trust in April 2020.

Christopher Pickering Primary School is a large school to the west of Hull. It has places for 420 pupils aged 5-11 years and has a 40 place nursery. Frederick Holmes School is a community special school catering for pupils with severe physical/ learning disabilities and those with profound and multiple needs aged 2-19.
