Autism Education Trust Training
Autism Education Training (AET) at Cambridge Park Academy
Our vision:
Our vision is to establish a wider understanding of autism across all stakeholders – we want to provide the very best training and support for not only school staff but also parents, carers and external agencies
Aims:
- To empower the education workforce and support them in securing a positive education that supports wellbeing for all autistic children
- To deliver high-quality, DfE accredited autism training across the community
- To promote positive co-production between educational providers across North East Lincs
Background:
The Autism Education Trust (AET) was formed as a partnership in 2008 to help improve the quality of education for autistic children and young people across England. At the heart of the AET is the belief that good outcomes can only be achieved by working in partnership.
The AET is a not for profit partnership organisation founded by two national autism charities – the National Autistic Society and Ambitious about Autism. Supported by the Department for Education, the AET promotes and supports partnerships throughout the education system to improve educational access, experience and outcomes for autistic children and young people.
Established and supported by the Department for Education, the AET promotes and supports partnerships throughout the education system to improve educational access, experience and outcomes for autistic children and young people. Underpinned by current research into good autism practice, the AET programme is structured around the three education phases – Early Years, Schools and Post 16.
Ultimately, we want all autistic children and young people to experience a positive education that supports their wellbeing and character development.
